Ever heard of matcha? I haven’t either! But it sure sounds interesting.

What is matcha?

Matcha (also spelled maccha) is finely milled or finely ground green tea. The health benefits of green tea are widely known, and from what we’ve read the last half an hour on the Internet, matcha seems pretty healthy too. Matcha contains more antioxidants than regular tea and is full of nutrients. Drinking matcha will boost energy, provide you with vitamins and increase your metabolism. With all these benefits, I’m surprised I never heard of it before!

Healthy Matcha Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup milk
1 banana
1 tablespoon of honey
1 teaspoon of matcha
Ice cubes

Method

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until matcha is completely dissolved. You could always freeze the banana for an extra cold kick before putting into the blender!
